Government Medical College, Kota was established in 1996 by the Government of Rajasthan to address the growing need for qualified medical professionals in the state. Initially started with an intake of 100 MBBS students, it has now expanded to 150 seats per year. The college was set up under the vision of then Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, with the aim of providing affordable and quality medical education to students from diverse backgrounds.
Over the years, GMC Kota has grown into a comprehensive medical institution with postgraduate programs in 15 specialties, including General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Radiology.
